On May 13, Together Chicago’s Violence Reduction Team joined hundreds of community violence intervention (CVI) leaders in Springfield for the 2025 CVI Rally and Legislative Action Day. We stood alongside partners from across the state to call for continued funding of the Reimagine Public Safety Act, which aims to reduce gun violence and promote safety across communities.
Our team showed up to represent the neighborhoods we serve and to advocate for the resources that make real safety possible. We were proud to share our stories with lawmakers, stand in solidarity with frontline outreach workers, and remind our elected officials that the work is far from finished.
Together, we are building safer communities—and we are just getting started.
