On the afternoon of November 1, approximately 300 people gathered in the heart of Little Village for a prayer and worship event dedicated to supporting and standing with Chicago’s immigrant community. Amid growing fear and uncertainty surrounding recent ICE activities, faith leaders and community members came together to lift up a message of hope, dignity, and solidarity.

Paco Amador, Joann Montes, and many other pastors, ministry leaders, and community advocates led the event. Some traveled from across the country to join this time of intercession, standing shoulder to shoulder with Chicago’s families.

The air was filled with heartfelt prayers in both English and Spanish. Songs of worship echoed down the block. The prayer event drew a crowd diverse in background, but united in compassion.

In times of turbulence, this gathering is a testament to faithful prayers building bridges where walls have been raised. Together Chicago was honored to be a part of this declaration that Chicago’s churches and neighbors are continuing to stand together for love and hope.
