On October 20, 2024, believers from across Chicagoland united at Progressive Baptist Church for HymnSing 2024. Together Chicago’s Roy Patterson gathered a team of worship leaders to minister to God with songs like, Great is Thy Faithfulness, Blessed Assurance, What a Friend, All Hai the Power of Jesus Name, and so many more. It was a night of passionate praise, exhortation and humor.
The worship leaders included Joann Montes, Pastor Lamont Lenox, Pastor DeWayne David, Pastor Paul van der Bijl, Queenie Lenox, and Roy Patterson.
“Like most Together Chicago events, you could feel the anticipation for a move of God. I watched as friends and family, young and old, sang timeless hymns to the glory of God. Chicago is known for its history of segregation. I thank God for attendance by black, white and hispanic people. This event proved we can worship together and find commonality through anointed music,” says Roy Patterson, the organizer of the event.
