At the 5th Annual Love Your School Friendraiser, more than 30 mission-driven organizations came together with one purpose: to build the relationships that power real, lasting change for Chicago’s youth. With over 250 participants — including young people from all across the city — the day was a vivid celebration of unity, purpose, and shared hope.

It wasn’t just the turnout, the vibrant energy, or the heartfelt conversations (though there were plenty of all three). It was the genuine spirit of collaboration, one that reached across neighborhoods, networks, and generations to create something larger than the sum of its parts. This event wasn’t about one organization shining; it was about collective light. And when that many people show up with love, intention, and community in mind, it’s a powerful reminder of what’s possible.

When schools, nonprofits, and youth advocates work together, we don’t just build programs; we build trust. We create networks of care that surround young people with opportunity, mentorship, and support. Friendships between organizations lead to real-world impacts: safer neighborhoods, more engaged students, and communities where youth can thrive.
