Next Steps Lunch is an annual gathering of pastors and leaders from across Chicagoland that celebrates the work of united prayer and collective action. We ‘looked back’ and shared about the rhythms of prayer, training, and engagement that took place so far this year, ‘looked ahead’ at plans for 2022, and spent time in prayer and sharing a meal together to deepen relationships. This year over 90 churches were represented from the North, West, and South sides of the city, and many from the suburbs as well.

While there were many presenters and powerful stories shared, it was especially poignant to hear about the One Lawndale effort led by faith leaders in North and South Lawndale, who are building bridges and relationship between those communities which have been divided in many ways by race and culture. The group photo was taken in front of the newly completed Lawndale Unido mural on 27th St & Lawndale.
